When we were in Florida, we went through a box of Mrs. Edwards old photos that Sandra had stashed in the garage. They were trying to figure out who a lot of the people were, but we were cracking up at some of the old images. Like this one...
They all look so young, and I love how everyone almost seems to be doing their own thing even though it's supposed to be a group portrait.
Denis' father would always tell tales of his "trolling" days, and how he and his buddies trolled around over in Tampa and Ybor City.
What a couple of delinquents.
Denis' mother had this photo tucked into one of here photo albums...
Almost as if she knew that Melrose would be her only grandchild from us. (Sure do miss that pretty girl.)
So, another one of my "achievements" for this year is to scan all of these photos that I have, color correct and archive. I told my sisters that I would do the ones from our mother years ago. I think I'll even burn extra discs for Denis to take a set into the office for off-site storage. For I would absolutely hate for anything to happen to the originals without any sort of back up, so I figured a Flashback Friday would help me move along on this project.
Carol sent me this one over Thanksgiving. She had taken me to the Bronx Zoo one weekend when I went to visit my big sis in NYC. (Check out the red pants and Little Orphan Annie tee...I so don't remember this outfit!)
Oh, those were the days...

4 thoughtful people had to say...:
I love going through old photos. You are so smart scan your photos. I have done a lot of that too...it's just such a long process. But it's so important to me to have the photos dated and the people identified for future generations.
Love that outfit in the last pic :)
Have a wonderful weekend.
Jane
I guess it's not hard to imagine you would be the family historian. Flashback Fridays sound like a fun incentive, looking forward to it.
btw did you ever find out what they were 'trolling' for? Never mind, it may be best to not know..lol.
I love that you're doing this. Your family will too.
Love your past Aussie too -- I see we've both had Aussies in our life for 'a while now' :)
You made me laugh....a couple of "delinquents"...these are some super memories you have here.
I was just scanning a bunch of old fotos this weekend.
