Flashback Friday: Daddy-O

I love going through all of these old photos and seeing my parents as children...carefree and inquisitive.

Bless my grandmother for writing the dates and places on the backs of the photos...
My father at 22 months, not sure if this is their backyard?

Up to no good I'm sure.

With Nana, he had just turned two.

Love the tricycle!

Nana wrote on the back of this one "Roy feeling proud in his policeman's suit. 3 years old." Looks like he's ready to nightstick someone.

This was taken at age 4 with Jim (whoever Jim is).

"Lake Lackawana, Father and Son Roy" Sept 1937

Yes, only a tip of the iceberg of the photo pile, but it's fun to flashback and preserve these memories.

Oh how I love these photos. Old family photos like this are my favorite thing. I'm lucky to have many, many family photos too and have tried to scan as many as possible...it's definitely a labor of love! Your Dad was a cute little boy.
Have a wonderful weekend.

How delightful to have these photos! I have a box of photos like these and unfortunately they aren't dated and we are unsure who some of the people in the photos are! Thanks for sharing!

Great job with those old photos! I'm wading through piles of photos as well and trying to polish them up a bit! I knew my Dad was a "character" but I didn't know that one could see this in his childhood photos as well! Any tips, I'm all ears.

How do you get the photos darker AND sharper? I've posted several of my first attempts on my blog.
